Don't apologise, battlescribe is great but not the most intuitive! You have to add it to the Configuration bit at the top of your list. As an example my compulsory choice is fast attack which I've loaded up with a couple of min sized Hounds units, and a Vespid squad. Oooohhh!! Thank you so much, that makes a lot more sense :), all fixed now.

Just hit the + next to "Configuration" at the top of your list. You will see "Arks of Omen Compulsory Type" as one of the options to add. Anyway, for what it's worth Battlescribe has updated with the Arks of Omen detachment. Dark eldar only lose ability to have 2 of the 3 in same army without losing stuff. All 3 in same detachment is 100% possible with new AoO det. GW doesn't even have to release any faq or errata for that one.
