If one of your friends or someone has the mission and is willing to re-play it, they can invite you and it WILL progress your mission, it still won't show up for you, but you can at least clear it to get to reverse-lure, which is working. Preservation Mission is the same with the same lore locations - no new progress. The same rooms are open and the lore is in the same location.
